Smart thermostat can set the temperature of the room you want, as well as the temperature required for the rest of your home. If you have one, turn on the boiler, turn it on until this temperature is reached, and turn it off when the heating is off. Conversely, mechanical thermostats are slow to react when switched on or off, but many require a neutral, small radiator inside the thermostat, which is most likely to activate when they need heat. With a thermometer, however, the room temperature can drop to 3-5 degrees before it starts again - which makes the occupants uncomfortable. Some thermostats require a room temperature at least 1 - 2 degrees Celsius higher than required for their work.
